Maritime Professional Seeking New Opportunities

I’m Roderick Garcia, a passionate maritime professional with a solid educational background and diverse work experiences.

📚 Education 📚
I earned my degree, «Nautical Navigation Engineer,» after four years of dedicated study at the International Maritime University of Panama. Additionally, I completed a year-long cadetship with COSCO Shipping, gaining invaluable experience both in the classroom and on the high seas.

💼 Professional Journey 💼
I embarked on my career with a part-time role at Taboga Express, where I helped transport passengers to the picturesque destinations of the Pacific Panamanian coast. This dual commitment allowed me to develop a well-rounded skill set and deep industry knowledge.

After a brief pause to reflect and learn, I joined SGS, a globally recognized company specializing in marine surveys. This transformative experience further fueled my love for the maritime industry. At SGS, I had the privilege of participating in surveys of vessels, enhancing my problem-solving skills and my ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

🌊 High Seas Adventures 🌊
Recently, I had the privilege of serving as an officer on a RoRo vessel in the Bahamas. This adventure provided invaluable insights into the dynamics of international maritime logistics, broadening my maritime portfolio and leadership abilities.
